_Monday 27th February 2012 - An Interactive ARTic Awareness
On February 27th, also known as 'International Polar Bear Day' worldwide I brought my 'Masking Existence' photographic portrait project to the Highland Wildlife Park (HWP). The project focuses on the polar bear and it's relationship with us as an animal whose existence is shaped by the increasing melting and freezing turnover of ice sheets in the Arctic Ocean.

There are also a series of images I took of Walker the Polar bear in his habitat at the park.
